Care & School Discipline

Discipline

Discipline of children is mandated by God. Parents are ultimately responsible for the discipline of their children. The Academy will involve parents in the disciplinary process of their children as early as possible and/or necessary. Bethel Livingstone Academy will work with families to fulfill God’s command to train their children in the way they should go. Training assumes voluntary cooperation of parents, teachers and students. The school holds each student and his family in high regard will thrive to keep matters of discipline as private as each situation allows. The intention of the Academy is to work with parents and students to accomplish conformity to Christ’s image. However, there is a time when the good of the school and the student body out weight all efforts to bring about change in individuals who are not in agreement with the goals of the academy. Discipline is very effective to all when used properly, and we have dedicated ourselves to that end.
The school seeks to promote positive behavior at all times and the students’ behavior is not negotiable. The school discipline policy is relative to the age of the student and follows the present government guidelines.Child protection and Anti-bullying policies are in place and teaching staff will continually observe the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of each student. If problems are encountered they will be handled in a caring and professional manner in partnership with parents.
